The Evil Dead franchise has long been a female-oriented horror series and that's despite Bruce Campbell typically leading the charge. Ellen Sandweiss, Betsy Baker and Theresa Tilly from Sam Raimi's original The Evil Dead have been collectively dubbed "The Lady of The Evil Dead," and the remake in 2013 gave us a new character from Jane Levy's Mia.
The upcoming film Evil Dead Rise brings Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan into the mix as the latest women from The Evil Dead, and Sutherland recently shared an stunning photo on Twitter this weekend. Sutherland and Sullivan have recently been seen together with remake star Jane Levy, the trio photographing together in the form of the latest "Evil Dead Blood Sisters."
To be clear, Jane Levy is NOT included as a character in Evil Dead Rise, so do not read too much into the image. It's just a fun personal snap from a recent hangout between Three Evil Dead starlets.

Here's the official synopsis of the plot to Evil Dead Rise...
"In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her elder sister Ellie, who is raising three kids by herself in a cramped L.A apartment. The reunion of the sisters is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious document deep in the bowels of the Ellie's house, giving the appearance of flesh-possessed demons and dragging Beth into a gruelling struggle for survival as she faces the most frightening mommyhood story you can imagine."
The chainsaw and the shotgun (particularly Ashley's "Boomstick") is a classic weapon of the Evil Dead franchise. In the Evil Dead Rise marketing material they both appear in the new film but there's a new weapon to be found which is bound to become a favorite among fans. Meet Staffanie.
Lee Cronin's Evil Dead Rise relocates the series from its traditional rustic cabin in the woods to a Los Angeles apartment building. It's the location where Ellie (Alyssa Sutherland) lives with her three children, Danny (Morgan Davies), Bridget (Gabrielle Echols), and Kassie (Nell Fisher). As their Aunt Beth (Lily Sullivan) is in town to visit, a Necronomicon is discovered and it spits its evil right to Ellie. As the only adult left on the scene, Beth takes charge, but the kids do what they can to fight their own mother's enmity, including the little Kassie. What is her weapon? A creation she made herself called Staffanie which is a mix of a doll and a very well-made staff.
While in Austin to attend this film's SXSW premiere, Cronin took the time to do an extended interview with Collider and also highlighted Staffanie during the non-spoiler half of our conversation. In explaining how he achieved such an impeccable balance between sheer terror and the classic Evil Dead humor, he utilized Staffanie to illustrate:
